These terms govern your use of the Candlewick app and website. By using Candlewick, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
Who can use Candlewick
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement. Candlewick is designed for two partners to use together as a pair.
Your account and your pair
You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for the content you add. Candlewick links two people into a pair so they can share their date nights. Content you add is shared with your partner as part of the ritual.
Subscriptions
- Candlewick offers an optional premium subscription. When one partner subscribes, both partners in the pair receive premium access.
- Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the period.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription, and turn off auto-renew, in your App Store account settings. A free trial period, if offered, ends and converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled before it ends.
- Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. Refund requests for App Store purchases are handled by Apple.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Candlewick for anything unlawful or harmful.
- Attempt to access another couple's data, or interfere with the security of the service.
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or abuse the app or its infrastructure.
Your content
You keep ownership of the photos, journal entries, and other content you add. You grant us only the limited permission needed to store and display that content to you and your partner so the app can work. We do not claim ownership of your memories.
If a pair ends
If a couple stops using Candlewick, their shared history is archived rather than deleted or exposed, so that neither partner can later misuse it. You may request deletion of your account and content by emailing [email protected].
The service is provided as is
We work hard to make Candlewick reliable, but it is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Candlewick is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
Changes to the service or these terms
We may update the app and these terms over time. We will update the date above when the terms change. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
